Dec. 13- Snowy Day Swedish Meatballs...just like Ikea makes!
We had many leftover meatballs that had slow cooked in grape jelly and bbq sauce (KC Masterpiece, of course) all day on Saturday during our Open House.  Em made pasta shells and then we created a basic white sauce- two tablespoons melted butter whisked with two tablespoons of flour and then add 1 3/4 cups milk and cheese (we used an Italian blend).  It was the perfect base for the meatballs and some mushrooms.  It was a wonderful winter meal after a long day battle the sub-zero temperatures.

Garden Pizza
For our kitchen table creation this evening we had pizza with goodies from the garden.  Fresh tomatoes and pesto sauce topped our bisquick crust.
1 cup bisquick
1/4 cup bread flour
1/2 cup water
salt and pepper
cheese seasoning (the kind you put on the popcorn)
Stir together all the ingredients for the crust. Form into two crusts and bake at 450 for ten minutes.
Top with awesome, fresh ingredients such as pesto, tomato, turkey meat (already browned), cheese and salt/pepper to taste.
Bake for another ten minutes or until cheese is bubbly, melted and gooey.
Enjoy at your favorite kitchen table!
